A typical pH meter includes a special measuring probe, which is often a glass electrode connected to an electronic meter that measures and shows the pH reading. The circuit of a simple pH meter normally comprises operational amplifiers in an inverting configuration. The inverting amplifier converts the small voltage generated by the probe into pH units.
